What's it like to work in Canada?
Our three offices in Canada handle most of the major functions that make Google such a successful company.
Engineering
Google's Montréal and Waterloo offices house teams responsible for innovation, engineering, and delivery across an increasing array of Google products and businesses with worldwide impact. The Engineering centre in Waterloo is a leading Canadian and Google R&D hub at the forefront of Internet technology and development – representing Google products and services not only to the local and thriving technology, university, and entrepreneur communities, but also to the broader provincial and Canada-wide constituencies. The Montréal office is one of Google's foremost centers of excellence in client-based application development, specializing in Windows applications and security. Waterloo and Montréal are a key part of the base of Google’s "Google East" engineering organization, partnering with Mountain View and other engineering sites in North America such as Pittsburgh (Carnegie-Mellon University), Cambridge (MIT), and New York City, and worldwide with sites such as London, Zurich, Tokyo and Beijing.
